February

February is always kind of a hard month for me. I'm so ready for winter to be over and ready for the sun to shine. There were probably only about 3 days in February where the sun shone all day. To say the least it's a bit depressing. So to curb the depression we decided to keep busy by creating. When you create something it can be very fulfilling and lift your spirits! We also spent a week purging the house in February that's always very liberating! ;) We also had the computer wiped and reprogrammed and got a new camera somehow with one or the other or both of those things I lost most of my February pictures. We had taken pictures of all the things we created. From crochet hats, granny squares, way too big sweaters, to pipe cleaner animals and paper rose bouquets. A few pictures did survive so I posted them.

Charly wearing one of my latest hat creations. Notice in the back that is the granny square afghan Matt is working on. He is getting really good and has been making crochet roses and attempting his own hat this month. We will be sure to include the pictures in March's post! ;)

This was Matt's first "follow instructions" crochet project. I thought he did pretty good since reading crochet instructions is almost like learning another language. If you couldn't tell it's a turtle.

Missy wanted a poncho shawl thing so I made her this and added a hat to go with it.


I also figured out how to crochet and custom fit socks. I have made me one pair but have in mind ideas for other pairs. A very practical thing to know how to do I thought!
