Last Monday we had a Family Home Evening lesson on honoring parents and family unity.
This was and "object lesson game" about listening and working together as a family!
I think something sunk in;)
Around here we have all come down with a pretty big case of Spring Fever! The other day the kids tried to remedy that. They had a indoor ocean picnic and luau. They had beach towels laid out and a place for the ocean. They drew pictures of flowers and grass and a sun and put it on the walls! (can you see the little sun in this picture?) They even had ocean sounds playing on the CD player! What a great way to beat the winter blues! This morning it is snowing Spring may never come but that won't stop the kids from enjoying a great picnic! By the way do you like Curt's grass skirt? Well yesterday for Valentines the kids made themselves heart shaped sandwiches!
Here is Curt showing his!(what a look;) After lunch we had some homeschool friends over and had a great time playing with them and exchanging Valentines!Last night when Dad got home, Mom and Dad went to the basement for "Date Night" and the kids had a great time complete with dancing, music, and fun!

Our kids are on the same wave length. We too had an indoor picnic last night. Looks like there is a lot of fun going on at your joint! What creative little souls you have in your care!
Love ya to Hawaii and back, Em
Sorry about the long winter, our winter is almost over it was about 70 degrees today a little windy, but very nice. I love the sandwiches, and the picnic what fun.
Basement Date night I love the idea. If only I had a basement.
Love ya all for our winter to yours. Ta
Root Roo, date night in the basement. ;) that's a good idea. It was probably lots of fun listening to the Disco going on upstairs too. You guys are so cute with your fun family ideas. Makes me feel like a slacker over here.
Love Ya Basements full!
