There's just something about eight that makes a kid seem a bit more grown up. Mom has even noticed it around the house he seems a bit more reliable. He seems to want to take on more responsibility and do more "grown up" things. I don't know for sure what it is about eight but to me it seems the Lord understands something there too, cause he gives us the opportunity to take on some pretty good responsibility. And he calls it the age of accountability.
He was very excited to be baptized a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
He wanted to be sure to tell everyone that was able to come, thanks so much for coming. He actually started writing notes but I'm not sure if he will get them all done or sent;)
Those of you who were not able to come we hope seeing a few pictures is almost as good as being there.
Just a thought:
"Perhaps no promise in life is more reassuring than that promise of divine assistance and spiritual guidance in times of need. It is a gift freely given from heaven, a gift that we need from our earliest youth through the very last days of our lives." ~Howard W. Hunter~

Congrats Matt! We are sooo proud of you!
Thanks for the awesome blog. It WAS almost as good as being there. I love the large group pic....and maybe it's just me, but in looking at that pic I would swear that Mike was thinking the EXACT SAME THING as Gpa Mark. ;)
We are sorry we had to miss the big day. I'm glad it turned out so nice for such a nice nephew.

Congradulation Matt!! You have made a important choice and we are proud of you.
We wish we could have been there to share the day with you. The pictures were great as a replacement.
