This weekend there was a small mishap that could have been much worse but thanks to observant children; We just got a little wet.
The kids were outside playing when their ball went over by the neighbors window well. Matt noticed that it was filling with water so him and Missy came and told us. The neighbors were not home so Ry went right to work. First turning off the hose that had been left on and then getting one of the kid's sand pails to bail the water out of the window well. 
As he was bailing the water on the driveway caused tons of little crickets to come out from their home the kids were very fascinated by the whole thing. 
A little water had seeped into the basement but not enough to hurt anything. Luckily it was noticed when it was not too much longer and their would have been a big mess! 
It appeared there was a large weed that the neighbor kids had put the hose on to soften the dirt so they could pull it, but then left forgetting about it with the hose going full force. Well the weed did come up very easily and when the neighbors returned we found out that was exactly what had happened. We were glad that there was no damage done, because as a single mother our sweet neighbor has more then enough to worry about.

Good thing the kids were paying attention...and a good thing Ryan was home. I forget your neighbors name, but she is a sweet lady and certainly did not need to come home to a flooded basement. You guys got to be a part of a tender mercy. awesome! Love you all>
